Lindsey Milstein

President & Board Co-Chair

Lindsey has served as a Dumbarton Oaks Park Conservancy board member since 2012 and, since 2014, is serving as president. She is co-founder of the Conservancy’s Leave No Child Inside Environmental Education Program created in 2014. Prior to advocating for the restoration and preservation of Dumbarton Oaks Park, she founded and led DIG, a landscape design-build firm based in the Pacific Northwest.

Elizabeth 'Liza' Gilbert

Treasurer & Board Co-Chair

Liza is a landscape designer based in Washington, DC. Since 2012, she has served as a board member of Dumbarton Oaks Park Conservancy and since January 2019 is serving as Board Co-Chair. She received an MA in landscape architecture from the Graduate School of Design, Harvard University. She has worked at the New York firms of Michael Van Valkenburg Associates and Judith Heintz Landscape Architecture: at Douglas Reed Landscape Architecture, Cambridge, MA; and at Giannini & Vagnetti Architetti in Rome, Italy. She had the honor to serve on the Commission of Fine Arts from 2014-2019.

Lou Slade

1st Vice President & Co-Founder

Professional Engineer (retired), founder of Gorove/Slade Associates, Inc. a transportation planning and engineering consulting firm; Board Member of FONA, Friends of the National Arboretum in Washington D.C.

George 'Buzz' Seltzer

2nd Vice President

Mr. Seltzer retired from 3U Technologies LLC., an ocean engineering and specialty engineering firm, in 2014 as Vice President of Engineering. He holds bachelor’s degree from Lafayette College in Mechanical Engineering, a Master of Science degree in Ocean Engineering from the University of Washington and a Certificate in Landscape Design from George Washington University. He retired from the U.S. Navy with the rank of Commander in the Civil Engineer Corps after serving for 22 years.

Michael Rankin

Board Member

Principal & Managing Partner TTR | Sotheby’s International Realty, a resident of Georgetown and frequent Park visitor.

Dina Curtis

Board Member

Chief of Staff at the Calvert Impact Capital, a nonprofit foundation devoted to social impact investing. From 2005 – 2011, Director of the Washington, DC Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial Foundation.

Reuben Rainey

Professor Emeritus at University of Virginia retired William Stone Weedon Professor in the History of Landscape Architecture; PhD. in Comparative Religion; graduate of Union Theological Seminary.

Elizabeth Barlow Rogers

Executive Director of the Foundation for Landscape Studies; Founding President of the Central Park Conservancy.

Martin Rosen

Founder and former Executive Director, Trust for Public Land.

Judith B. Tankard

Landscape historian; preservation consultant; and author of “Beatrix Farrand: Private Gardens, Public Landscapes;” Former vice-president of the Beatrix Farrand Society.

Rebecca Trafton

Executive producer and host of the PBS series “GardenStory~ Inspiring Spaces, Healing Places;” landscape designer; Trustee Emeritus- Shenandoah National Park Trust and Stewardship Council member-The Cultural Landscape Foundation; co-founder, Dumbarton Oaks Park Conservancy, 2010.
