Stewardship

DOPC's Leave No Child Inside environmental education experiences are held at Dumbarton Oaks Park, a National Park in historic Georgetown, Washington, D.C. This dynamic living landscape was designed over 100 years ago by America's first woman landscape architect, Beatrix Farrand. Leave No Child Inside introduces participants to nature and culture through inclusive, hands-on outdoor experiences.

We welcome students of all abilities from:

  • Preschool through high school groups
  • Community organizations
  • Youth groups

All school-aged experiences are aligned to the guidelines of Universal Design for Learning and the Next Generation Science Standards.

Leave No Child Inside is currently accepting inquiries and applications from teachers, school administrators, community educators and group leaders for the following programs:

  • Expeditions: Landscape by Design (4th grade or high school)
  • Dumbarton Explorers'
  • Land Over Time
  • Blossoms & Bloomers

For individual families, caretakers and their children please see the Special Events section below.
